Screen off only the part where people can look in

More privacy without losing daylight

This solution is all about the balance between privacy and a light room. Place the opaque fabric as a privacy band and keep as much daylight, sky and view as possible at the top.

  • Infinitely adjustable to any position
  • Opaque Single Tone, Duo Tone and Black-out fabrics
  • Compact on the glass, windowsill kept clear
  • Choice of many fabrics, colours and five profile colours

Stick & Fit made to measure230–1800 mm wide and 200–3000 mm high, per individual pane of glass.

Privacy does not have to make a room dark. Decide which part needs to be screened off and how much open glass is needed above or below for pleasant daylight.

Start with the situation you want to solve

This page focuses on keeping the light: how to choose the fabric position, colour and light-filtering version so that the room stays open and bright.

1

People looking in at seated height

Close only the middle section and keep a view of the sky and trees along the top.

2

Neighbours opposite the window

Adjust the fabric position when the line of sight or the time of day changes.

3

Low windows or side lights

Use the bottom rail from the windowsill and let plenty of daylight in along the top.

4

Working from home by the window

Filter direct views and bright light without closing off the workspace completely.

Top-down/bottom-up as a privacy tool

From fully open to just a privacy band in the middle

The top and bottom rails can be moved independently. This automatically gives you top-down, bottom-up and every position in between within one system. The fabric is opaque; daylight comes in through the open part of the window.

The broad benefits of Stick & Fit

More than just window coverings without drilling

Each page explains a different problem, but these product benefits are always part of the solution.

Without drilling

Fitted with narrow adhesive profiles on the glass on the left and right; the window frame stays free of drill holes.

Minimal space

No surrounding frame around the window. The windowsill stays clear and the system sits compactly on the glass.

Top-down/bottom-up

The fabric can be set to any position, infinitely: from the top, from the windowsill or just in the middle.

Insulating honeycomb

The honeycomb structure diffuses the light more softly and at the same time forms an extra layer of air by the glass. This way you combine privacy with a pleasant, softer look at the window.

Child-safe operation

No loose operating chain or cords; you operate the system directly with the handle-free rails.

Wide choice

Single Tone, Duo Tone and Black-out, many fabric colours and five colours for adhesive profiles and operating rails.

Strong value for money

An affordable made-to-measure solution that is usually cheaper and more compact than a pleated blind in a full frame.

A calmer interior

A partly closed fabric surface makes the room visually calmer without closing off the window completely. It is not an acoustic product, but it can soften hard glass surfaces.

From search query to product choice

Which fabric suits your privacy needs?

The position controls the line of sight; the fabric determines the atmosphere and the amount of filtered light.

Option 1

Single Tone

Calm, even colour and softly filtered daylight.

Option 2

Duo Tone

A coloured inside with a white back for a calm street view.

Option 3

Black-out

Fully light-proof fabric for bedrooms or situations where privacy and blackout go hand in hand.

Practical and ready to use

Four privacy positions for one window

The fabric can be moved throughout the day without fixed intermediate steps.

Morning

Open at the top and bottom for maximum daylight.

Daytime

Place the fabric at eye level against people looking straight in.

Dusk

Enlarge the covered part as the interior light gets stronger.

Evening

Close the fabric completely for maximum privacy.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about more privacy without losing daylight

Clear answers about use, fabric choice, installation and expectations.

Can you see in through a light-filtering fabric?

No. Single Tone and Duo Tone let filtered light through, but they are opaque. The part of the glass covered by fabric gives complete privacy.

How many positions does top-down/bottom-up have?

The operation is infinitely adjustable. So you don't choose from a fixed number of positions, but place the top and bottom rails at any height you like.

Can I close it from the windowsill only?

Yes. That is the bottom-up option within the same top-down/bottom-up system. You can also close it from the top only or create a free-hanging middle position.

Does honeycomb fabric also help against heat and cold?

Yes, the air chambers in the honeycomb structure contribute to insulation. Within the range, Black-out offers the strongest combination of blackout and insulating comfort.

Is Stick & Fit affordable?

It is a made-to-measure product, but because it has no full frame it is usually more favourably priced and more compact than comparable pleated blinds in a surround.

From product benefit to your window

Choose the fabric, colour and size that suit your situation

Compare light-filtering samples at home and see how much light each colour lets through. Via the fabrics page or the sample module you add favourites and then configure your made-to-measure blind.
