Stick & Fit pleated blinds without drilling in a bright conservatory

Suitable for different window frames

uPVC, wood and aluminium

The window frame material is usually not the problem, because the adhesive profiles are placed on the glass. The shape of seals, glazing beads, handles and any trickle vent determine the available space.

You do not need to drill into the aluminium. With narrow or deep profiles, pay extra attention to the space around the handle and seals.

Stick & Fit product visual with adhesive profiles, operating rails and tensioned cords

How the system works

On the glass, without drilling or screwing

Narrow adhesive profiles are placed on the glass on the left and right. The pleated blind is tensioned between them and operated with handle-free operating rails.

  • The product stays close to the glass and moves with a tilt-and-turn window.
  • The cords are tensioned at four corner points.
  • Top-down/bottom-up is standard; this means the fabric can also be positioned as top-down only or bottom-up only.
  • Each separate glass pane gets its own product.

Profiles and finish

Can I choose the profile colours separately?

Yes. Both the adhesive profile and the handle-free operating rail are available in RAL 7016, RAL 7035, RAL 9005, RAL 9001 and RAL 9003. You can combine both colours independently.

  • Match the adhesive profile mainly to the window frame colour.
  • Choose the operating rail to go with the fabric and the interior.
  • The tensioned cords match the profile colour.

Window frames, windows and suitability

Does Stick & Fit fit aluminium window frames?

Yes. The adhesive profiles are placed on the glass, so there is no drilling into the aluminium. Do check that there is enough clearance around the window handle, seals and glazing beads. With narrow or unusual aluminium profiles, it is best to send photos for advice.

Is Stick & Fit suitable for uPVC window frames?

Yes. uPVC window frames and tilt-and-turn windows are an important application. The window frame stays intact because the system is attached to the glass. View fabrics and colours →

Can Stick & Fit also be used with wooden window frames?

Yes, as long as the glass surface, the seals and the available installation space are suitable. The fixing is on the glass and not with screws in the wood.

Can Stick & Fit also be installed on the window frame instead of on the glass?

Yes. In addition to the standard installation on the glass, Stick & Fit can be installed on the window frame, provided the surface is sufficiently wide, smooth, flat and grease-free. In that case, measure and order the total desired width and height on the window frame. Check beforehand that the window handle and all moving parts remain clear.

Can a tilt-and-turn window still open normally and tilt?

Yes, in a suitable situation the tensioned product moves with the window. Check beforehand that the operating rail, adhesive profiles and corner feet do not touch the window frame, the handle or an adjacent part of the window anywhere.

Is Stick & Fit also suitable for a fixed window?

Yes. The system can be placed on a fixed glass pane. Here too, each glass pane is measured separately and fitted with one product.

Can Stick & Fit be used on a glazed door or French door?

That is possible if the product fits within the individual glass pane and there is enough space to open and close the door fully. Also check the position of the door handle.

Is Stick & Fit suitable for a sliding door?

Only if the sliding door is deep enough and the fitted profiles and operating rails do not touch the sliding parts. For a sliding door, always send overview and detail photos for a technical check.

What do I do if there is a trickle vent in the glass?

The height is usually measured from the underside of the vent to the bottom of the glass pane. See the separate drawing on the measuring page. The exact space around the vent remains decisive.

Can Stick & Fit be used on a sloping window or roof window?

That depends on the window. Stick & Fit is a rectangular product and cannot be opened and closed at an angle or diagonally. On a rectangular roof window, such as certain Velux windows, the system can be used if the situation is technically suitable and the width is no more than approximately 80–90 cm. Always send photos and measurements for this so they can be checked.

Is Stick & Fit suitable for a rented home?

Yes, precisely because there is no drilling. Bear in mind that adhesive profiles must be removed carefully and that any adhesive residue must be cleaned off the glass calmly. If in doubt, also check the agreements with your landlord.

Measuring and ordering

How do I measure the correct width and height?

Measure in millimetres, at several points and at least twice. Write down each measurement straight away and use the smallest measured width and height. Measure each glass pane separately.

Before ordering, look at the complete measuring instructions with drawings.

Do I need to deduct clearance or a size reduction myself?

No. Give the measured size as the measuring instructions prescribe. Do not deduct millimetres on your own initiative, because the production size is based on it. View the measuring instructions →

Do I measure against the window seal or against the window frame?

That depends on the shape and thickness of the seal. With a thin, flat seal the installation position may be different from that with a thick or rounded seal. The measuring page shows the different situations. If in doubt, send a clear detail photo.

Why do I need to measure at several points?

Glass panes and window frames can deviate by a few millimetres. By checking left, right, top and bottom, you prevent a product from being too large at one point.

What are the minimum and maximum dimensions?

The width is between 230 and 1800 mm. The height is between 200 and 3000 mm. A combination within these limits must also be technically suitable for the window.

Can one product span several glass panes?

No. Stick & Fit is made per individual glass pane. For a window with two or more panes, you measure and order each glass pane separately.

Can you assess my window from a photo in advance?

Yes. Send one overview photo taken straight in front of the window and detail photos of the edge of the glass, seals, handle and any trickle vent via the contact page.

Can I return a made-to-measure product?

Stick & Fit is produced according to your measurements and choices. As a result, no regular right of withdrawal applies to a correctly delivered made-to-measure product. In the event of an error, defect or deviation from the order, your statutory rights of course remain. Read the terms and conditions.

Installation, adhesive profiles and adhesion

Do I need tools for the installation?

You do not need a drill, screws or wall plugs. A good spirit level, ruler and pencil help with aligning straight. Use the degreasing wipe supplied and follow the installation video and the installation guide.

Do the adhesive profiles stay firmly on the glass?

Yes. The adhesive profiles are very strong and resistant to heat and cold. For long-lasting adhesion, the glass must be completely clean, grease-free and dry. Do not touch the adhesive layer, align the profile straight and press it firmly along its entire length.

At what temperature can I install?

Install at a temperature between 15 °C and 35 °C. If the glass is too cold or too warm, adhesion may become less reliable.

May I use the pleated blind immediately after installation?

First let the adhesive strips bond fully and do not use the product for the first 24 hours.

How long does installation take?

The installation is designed to be carried out quickly, but work without rushing. Cleaning properly, checking left and right and aligning straight are more important than speed.

Are small air bubbles under the adhesive strip a problem?

Small air pockets may occur and normally do not affect operation, as long as the profile has been pressed evenly and firmly everywhere.

Can Stick & Fit be removed again later?

Yes. First detach the pleated blind and the clips according to the removal instructions. Then pull the adhesive strips off slowly and evenly. Any adhesive residue can be removed from the glass with a non-abrasive product.

Where can I find the full installation instructions?

The installation page has the instruction video; the complete installation guide is on a separate page, with all installation and removal steps.

Fabrics, privacy and living comfort

What types of fabric are there?

There are three main groups: Single Tone with 15 colours, Duo Tone with 6 colours and a white reverse side, and Black-out with 13 blackout colours. With Black-out, both visible sides have the same colour; the metallised blackout layer is inside the honeycomb. View fabrics and colours →

Is a black-out fabric completely blackout?

The Black-out fabric is 100% blackout. With sloping window frames, thick seals or small gaps at the edges, a little light may come in along the sides; the complete product then gives approximately 98% blackout.

Can I keep my privacy and still let daylight in?

Yes. With top-down/bottom-up you can screen the middle or lower part of the window, while daylight comes in at the top.

What operating options are there?

Stick & Fit always has top-down/bottom-up. This means you can also position the same version as top-down only, bottom-up only, a middle band or fully closed. These are positions of one system, not separate product versions.

Does honeycomb fabric help with insulation and heat?

The air chambers in honeycomb fabric can improve comfort near the window and limit heat transfer. It remains a window covering and does not replace structural insulation or external sun protection. View fabrics and colours →

Can Stick & Fit be used in the bathroom or kitchen?

That is possible in many situations. Choose a suitable fabric, ventilate the room well and avoid direct contact with water, condensation drops, grease and aggressive cleaning agents.

Which profile colours are available?

RAL 7016 anthracite grey, RAL 7035 light grey, RAL 9005 black, RAL 9001 cream and RAL 9003 white. The adhesive profile and operating rail may have different colours. View fabrics and colours →

Can I look at fabrics and colours at home first?

Yes. Request free fabric samples so that you can assess colour, texture and light transmission at your own window and in your own interior. View fabrics and colours →

Use, care and help

How do I operate the blind without a handle?

The operating rail has a handle-free, slightly hollow shape. You grip the rail with your fingers and slide it gently up or down. For tall windows you can order a control wand as an extra.

What should I do if the blind moves crookedly or stiffly?

Check that the cords run straight and without twisting through the side profiles, that the clips are fully clicked into place and that both side profiles have been installed straight. Do not force the operation.

How do I clean the pleated blind?

Clean the fabric carefully with a soft brush or cloth and do not press too hard. You can treat stains carefully with a slightly damp cloth. Then let the fabric dry well in the fully closed, unfolded position. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents.

How do I clean the profiles and operating rails?

Use a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry the profiles afterwards. Avoid abrasive sponges, solvents and lots of water near the adhesive strips.

What should I bear in mind for child safety?

Always keep cords out of the reach of children, prevent loops or tangling and do not place beds, cots or furniture directly next to the cords. Install and use the product only in accordance with the guide.

How do I get help quickly with a technical problem?

Send a photo of the complete window and a detail photo of the problem, together with your measurements and the order number if available. Use the contact form, call 085-2736378 or email info@plissezonderboren.nl.
