Pleated blinds for sliding patio doors and French doors

With sliding patio doors and French doors, the space between the moving parts is important. When there is enough space, Stick & Fit sits neatly on the glass and the doorway stays clear.

Not every sliding patio door is the same

With a sliding door, enough depth must remain for the doors to move past each other. With French doors, pay particular attention to handles, locks and the space along the window frame.

1

Measure the available depth

Check how much space there is between the door, the glass and the next door section.

2

Measure each door separately

Even two identical doors can differ by a few millimetres.

3

Test the movement

After fitting, the door must not touch the profile or operating rail anywhere.

Window coverings that stay out of the way

Practical for large doors to the garden or terrace

A system hanging loosely in front of the doors can get in the way of the doorway. Stick & Fit, by contrast, stays close to the glass.

No side tension cords

The doorway stays clear and safe.

No drilling

No holes in uPVC, wood or aluminium.

Operated per door

Open only the section you want to look through.

Top-down/bottom-up

Privacy at seated height and light at the top.

Up to 1800 mm wide

Within the standard size; wider sections assessed on request.

Another solution for large sections

The same fabrics are also available as a cord-operated or electric system.

Choose light, colour or full blackout

Duo Tone is ideal when several doors and windows need to keep one white look from outside. Single Tone can match dark door frames or woodwork. Black-out helps against light and heat.

Calm from outside

Duo Tone

Duo Tone keeps the outside white and gives colour on the inside. That is convenient with several door and window panes that are seen from outside as one large area of glass.

More colour

Single Tone

Single Tone shows the same shade on both sides and can emphasise the colour of the door frames, floor or interior. With several panes, ideally choose one consistent line.

Blackout

Black-out

Black-out darkens the fabric surface and helps insulate. Always check that sliding or opening sections keep enough free space; light may remain visible along the edges.

Extra insulation and substantial darkening

Adhesive profile and operating rail do not have to be the same colour

Match the adhesive profile to the window frame or seal and choose the operating rail to suit the fabric. You decide which combination looks best.

RAL 9005

The adhesive profile and operating rail are each available separately in RAL 9003, 9001, 7035, 7016 and 9005. You can choose both parts in the same or in different standard colours, at no extra charge for colour.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about sliding patio doors and French doors

Does Stick & Fit fit every sliding patio door?

Not always. There must be enough space between the moving parts. If in doubt, send photos and measurements.

Can it be used on French doors?

Often, yes. Each pane in the door gets its own product that moves with the door.

How wide can a single product be?

Up to 1800 mm as standard.

What if a glass section is wider?

Then a cord-operated or electric pleated blind solution with the same fabric may be a better fit.

Can I give all doors the same outer side?

Yes. With Duo Tone the outside is always white, even if you choose different colours on the inside.

Is Black-out suitable for sliding patio doors?

Yes, if you want to block a lot of light and heat. Bear in mind the maximum size per product.
