A good tape measure
Preferably use a sturdy metal tape measure. A digital display can make it easier to read the measurement in a corner.
Stick & Fit measuring instructions
A good fit starts with calm, accurate measuring. Measure each separate pane of glass in millimetres, check every measurement a second time and write the measurements down straight away.

Well prepared
A few extra minutes of checking prevents a wrong measurement. Have everything ready before you start and work window by window.
Preferably use a sturdy metal tape measure. A digital display can make it easier to read the measurement in a corner.
Write every measurement down in millimetres straight away. Do not rely on your memory when you are measuring several windows.
Only use a sturdy household stepladder or step. Never stand on a chair, windowsill or loose piece of furniture.
Clear the area around the window. Measure in sufficient light and without rushing, so that the measurement remains easy to read.

Window without trickle vent
Only measure the pane of glass on which the adhesive profiles will be placed. Do not include the window frame in the order size.
Measure horizontally at the top and bottom, from glass edge to glass edge. Keep the tape straight.
Measure vertically on the left and right, from the bottom to the top edge of the glass.
Use the smallest width and the smallest height as the order size.
Measure both chosen sizes once more before moving on to the next pane of glass.

Window with trickle vent
The trickle vent must remain clear. The top of Stick & Fit therefore ends below the vent.
Measure at the top and bottom from glass edge to glass edge and use the shortest width.
Measure from the bottom edge of the glass to exactly the underside of the trickle vent.
If the left and right measurements differ, take the smallest size.
Check that the controls and flaps of the vent remain accessible after fitting.
Safety first
You do not need to measure outside the window for Stick & Fit. Stay on the inside and make sure you are always standing steadily.
Final check
Stick & Fit is fitted on the glass. So measure the pane of glass and not the outer dimensions of the window frame.
A pane of glass can vary slightly. Measure both the width and the height in at least two places.
Always use the shortest measured width and height, so that the product fits within the pane of glass.
Provide the exact glass size. Do not deduct a few millimetres from the measurement yourself.
Always write the width first and then the height: W × H, both in millimetres.
Measure each separate pane of glass individually. One Stick & Fit product is ordered per pane of glass.
Write it down straight away
Give each window or pane of glass a clear number. Note the shortest width and height immediately after the check measurement.
Fixed notation:
Window 1 — 684 × 1247 mm
always width × height
Frequently asked questions
No. Provide the exact, shortest glass size in millimetres. Do not deduct any clearance yourself.
Always use the smallest measured width and the smallest measured height. Then check these measurements again.
Measure the visible glass size from glass edge to glass edge. The window frame is not part of the order size. Make sure the tape lies tight against the edges of the pane of glass.
Measure the width as normal in two places. Measure the height on the left and right, from the bottom edge of the glass to just below the underside of the trickle vent.
No. Measure and note each pane of glass separately. Even two panes side by side can differ from each other by a few millimetres.
A sturdy metal tape measure is the most practical. A model with a digital display can be handy when the measurement is hard to read in a corner, but even then, check every measurement twice.
Need help?
Have you checked the width and height twice and noted the shortest measurements? Then open the configurator straight away. If you are still unsure about a seal, glass edge or trickle vent, send photos first for measuring advice.
